🩺 Medical Assistant - Urgent Care Shoal Creek
Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant at Saint Luke's Urgent Care Shoal Creek!
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team at our Shoal Creek location . This role is essential in supporting providers and nursing staff while delivering exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent customer service, and the flexibility to work in an urgent care setting.
📅 The Shift
The Urgent Care clinic is open:
Monday through Friday: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM
This is a full-time position with a schedule based on clinic operating hours.
🩺 Responsibilities Include:
- ✅ Assist providers and nursing staff in the delivery of professional medical care
- ✅ Perform pre-visit planning and prepare patients for examinations
- ✅ Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document information in the EMR
- ✅ Perform phlebotomy and assist with procedures as needed
- ✅ Scan and upload patient documentation into electronic medical records
- ✅ Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- ✅ Support front desk operations and patient registration when needed
- ✅ Assist with clinic workflow and other duties based on operational needs
- ✅ Travel to and support other Urgent Care locations throughout the Kansas City Metro as needed
- 👩⚕️ What We're Looking For: ✔ Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, urgent care, or healthcare setting preferred
- ✔ Strong customer service and communication skills
- ✔ Phlebotomy experience preferred
- ✔ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- ✔ Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems
- ✔ Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent patient care
