Job Description Summary:
Location: Charlotte, NC
The Director, Franchise Commercial Execution leads the integrated execution capability agenda for CDE, MSC, PICOS, ESH, and Space within bottler operations. This leader translates the commercial agenda into practical standards, connected deployment plans, bottler adoption, and sustained marketplace execution.
The role owns the day-to-day leadership, integration and delivery of these capabilities: connecting equipment, space, outlet standards, execution routines and market activation into one coordinated approach rather than separate programs.
This role partners with bottler commercial and sales teams, Franchise Operations, category and channel leaders, Customer teams, RGM and Finance to improve availability, visibility, execution quality and asset productivity, supporting balanced growth in revenue, volume, mix and transactions. Its primary accountability is execution capability performance across priority channels.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Integrated Execution Capability Leadership
- 1. Lead CDE and Space Deployment and Productivity
- Lead the Franchise CDE and Space agendas, aligning equipment deployment, redeployment, and shelf, cooler, and display opportunities with commercial and channel priorities.
- Partner with bottlers, category, Customer and Finance teams on practical placement and merchandising recommendations, balancing outlet opportunity, utilization and investment requirements.
- Track equipment and space implementation and productivity, close execution gaps and escalate investment or resource decisions through agreed governance.
- 2. Lead MSC Activation and PICOS Adoption
- Own MSC (Market Street Challenge) planning and follow-through, coordinating market selection, readiness and field engagement around priority growth opportunities.
- Lead PICOS deployment across priority channels, translating category and customer requirements into clear outlet standards embedded in selling tools, coaching and routines.
- Use market findings and execution assessments to close availability, assortment, visibility, and merchandising gaps; assign actions, verify sustained improvement, and scale effective practices.
- 3. Strengthen ESH and Connected Capability Delivery
- Lead the Franchise ESH agenda, aligning capability assessments and development plans with execution priorities set by the Senior Director II.
- Partner with bottlers to embed practical standards, coaching and accountability in daily execution; simplify tools and strengthen measurement consistency.
- Integrate CDE, MSC, PICOS, ESH and Space into one deployment plan, connecting milestones, dependencies and bottler commitments rather than managing separate programs.
- 4. Commercialize Category Innovation
- Lead Franchise commercialization of category innovation, translating brand strategies and launch priorities into channel-specific deployment plans with bottlers.
- Coordinate launch readiness across assortment, pack-price architecture, customer activation, availability, merchandising and field communication with accountable partners.
- Track launch execution and commercial outcomes, resolve adoption gaps and convert market learnings into corrective actions and stronger future launches.
- 5. Deploy Pillar Programs
- Lead bottler deployment of Coke TM pillar programs, aligning activation calendars, outlet priorities, execution standards and partner commitments.
- Connect brand activation to selling routines and in-market execution, using CDE, Space, PICOS, MSC and ESH where relevant to deliver the intended shopper and customer experience.
- Review program readiness, implementation and sustained execution; address gaps with bottlers and scale effective activation practices.
- 6. Lead Channel Planning
- Lead commercial channel planning with category, channel, Customer, RGM and bottler teams, translating growth opportunities into prioritized channel and outlet actions.
- Align portfolio, assortment, pack-price, availability, space and merchandising priorities with customer needs, bottler economics and execution feasibility.
- Embed category priorities in JBP and ABP, agree execution measures, and review channel performance to refine plans and resource recommendations
- Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in CPG, beverage, or a related industry, across commercial execution, sales, customer management, franchise operations, or execution capability roles.
- Hands-on experience with equipment deployment and productivity, space and merchandising, outlet execution standards, market activation or sales execution capability building; working knowledge of CDE, MSC, PICOS, ESH and Space.
- Demonstrated ability to turn commercial priorities into bottler-ready plans, field routines, adoption, and measurable marketplace improvements.
- Experience working with bottlers or within a franchise system, influencing commercial and sales partners without direct authority.
- Strong analytical skills, including execution scorecards, gap diagnosis, asset and space productivity analysis, and translation of insights into action.
- Experience leading planning, deployment, and cross-functional stewardship routines in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Understanding of channel strategy, customer dynamics and system economics, with the ability to balance growth opportunities, execution feasibility and bottler profitability.
