Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable CDL Driver | Yard Truck | Hostler to join our Shipping & Receiving team. As a Yard Truck | Hostler Driver, you are responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently between building locations and accurately reporting those moves in the system. This position is required to hold a current and valid CDL.
Responsibilities:
- Move trailers within the yard, between dock doors, and to different building locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain high level of communication with dispatch, yard personnel, and supervisors.
- Accurately and efficiently document moves in the AS400 system.
- Recognize and adhere to best practices for safety.
- Other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must have current and valid CDL.
- Attention to detail required.
- Prior experience in a Yard Truck / Hostler Truck position required.
- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to get in and out of trucks throughout the entire shift.
- Safety and quality focused.
- Must be dependable.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision required.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
