Family Court Adviser - Hertfordshire

Our client in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join their team as a Family Court Adviser. In this rewarding role, you will work with children and families involved in family court proceedings, undertaking assessments, providing professional advice to the court, and ensuring the voice and best interests of the child remain at the heart of decision-making.

What will your responsibilities be?

Conduct safeguarding checks and risk assessments within family court proceedings.

Gather, analyse, and evaluate complex information relating to child welfare and protection concerns.

Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and recommendations.

Represent and advocate for the child's wishes, feelings, and best interests.

Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families.

Provide expert advice to courts on safeguarding and welfare matters.

Manage a varied caseload across Public Law and Private Law proceedings.

Work effectively with local authorities, legal representatives, schools, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.

Support the delivery of the Child Focused Court Model (CFC), ensuring children's voices remain central throughout proceedings.

Maintain accurate case records and utilise case management systems effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

• To be successful in this role you must have, Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
• Hold a full UK driving licence
