Job Overview
PlanetArt is seeking an experienced, business-minded Senior Corporate Counsel to join our legal team and provide strategic and practical legal guidance across our growing portfolio of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands. This position will play a key role in advising the business on a broad range of legal matters, including data privacy and protection, consumer protection, advertising and marketing compliance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
The Senior Corporate Counsel will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Creative, Technology, Product, and Operations, to support business initiatives, navigate complex legal issues, and develop practical solutions that balance legal risk with business objectives.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this is a highly visible, hands-on position offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence legal strategy across a dynamic, growing organization. The ideal candidate is a commercially astute attorney who understands the complexities of operating in a fast-paced, technology-driven e-commerce environment and can translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable business guidance.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, comfortable working independently, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done. Success in this role requires strong judgment, exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a collaborative approach to working with business partners at all levels.
The right candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven culture where decisions move quickly, accountability is high, and the legal team is expected to be an active partner in driving the business forward.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Calabasas area as we operate on a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
