PGI is a growing organic herb/spice/botanical importing and production company that utilizes extensive food safety, handling and management practices to ensure a quality product.
Production Supervisor
Position Summary: Is accountable for directing plant production activities to produce quality products, at the lowest cost, consistent with company schedules and policies to fulfill customer requirements.
Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability.
Oversee the production process
Identify internal and external resources needed; Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed; Partner with Maintenance in the equipment selection process
Monitor product standards in partnership with Quality dept requirements; implement quality-control programs; Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed; • Identify training and development needs for team members.

- Knowledge of human resource principles and practices
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Bachelor’s Degree Desirable but not limited – Type: Engineering, technical or related field Preferred Attributes Food industry experience

- 2 years’ experience as a Production/Operations Supervisor
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaker is required)
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
- Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
- Knowledge of raw materials, Knowledge of quality systems and standards, Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
