City of Lee's Summit Police - Janitor

City Wide has two janitor opportunities with our client, City of Lee's Summit Police location. $16.00 per hour.

This location is at 10 NE Tudor Rd, Lee's Summit, MO. We are looking for candidates in the general location for two shifts:

Mon - Fri, 6:30 am-3:00 pm

Mon - Fri, 5:30 pm to 2:00am

What You Will Do

• Clean assigned work areas to City Wide standards and finish within the scheduled time.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, empty trash, and tidy offices and common areas.
• Vacuum, dust, sweep, and mop floors and stairs.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and hand tools.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
• Report building issues or problem areas to your supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desired.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned work sites, including evening hours.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor’s direction.
• A smartphone that you can use to clock in/out for assigned shifts.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must agree and successfully complete City of Lee's Summit background check.
• Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Frequent walking on hard surfaces, standing, bending, lifting, and repeated cleaning motions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, fumes, dust, moderate to loud noise, and a fast-paced setting.
• Limited sedentary time.
