Summary
Job Description:
Nurse Manager - 2 West Medical Telemetry and Dialysis
Manages the daily operations of the department(s). Responsibilities include:
- Management of resources, process improvement activities, staffing and scheduling, and assuring delivery of safe, effective, timely patient care in areas of responsibility.
- Monitors financial performance of department(s) and assures expenses and productivity align with workload and meets fiscal targets.
- Leads departmental activities and monitors care provided to comply with quality and customer service goals.
- Assure good two-way communication with staff.
- Lead/participate in multidisciplinary and interdepartmental initiatives to improve care, services, and efficiencies.
- May need to assist with patient care on nursing unit.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
- Requires three years of job-related experience.
- BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Five or more years of experience as leader in designated area preferred.
- Recent experience and/or certification in specialty preferred.
