This is a 100% on-site position supporting enterprise Linux operations. The Senior Linux Engineer will administer, secure, troubleshoot, and sustain Linux infrastructure while using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to improve reliability, patching, configuration management, and vulnerability remediation.
The position serves as a senior escalation point, leads recovery during major outages, and mentors Linux support personnel.

- Administer SAN/NAS storage, RAID, multipathing, backups, and restores. Support application deployments, virtualization, high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery; validate recovery procedures.
- Deploy, upgrade, administer, and optimize AAP 2.x, including Automation Controller, Private Automation Hub, Execution Environments, inventories, projects, credentials, templates, workflows, and RBAC.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and Python, Bash, and Perl scripts for provisioning, patching, configuration management, diagnostics, reporting, and routine operations. Build Execution Environments using ansible-builder and modernize legacy Tower/AWX workflows.
- Integrate automation with ServiceNow, Git/GitLab, Red Hat Satellite, Splunk, Dynatrace, vulnerability-management platforms, and monitoring tools. Maintain GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, configuration-as-code practices, and Docker container operations.
- Implement and automate DISA STIG configurations, ACAS remediation, Linux hardening, and compliance activities supporting RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, operational procedures, configuration records, and recovery instructions. Mentor Tier I and Tier II personnel in administration, troubleshooting, escalation, and customer support.
