Objectives of this Role:

We are seeking a driven and collaborative Manager, Digital Strategy, to join our growing team at Fingerpaint Medical, a full-service medical communications agency that thinks creatively and solves complex challenges. You will support digital and engagement strategy development for assigned brands, with a focus on ongoing management of social media initiatives for medical affairs clients, search engine optimization for client websites, social listening opportunities, user experience (UX) strategy in collaboration with our design teams,

and CRM and email programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports digital strategy development and execution for assigned clients
• Contributes to digital case study creation and performance reporting
• Develops insights to inform strategic recommendations for brand planning and new business opportunities
• Develops, implements, and manages social media campaigns and community strategies across relevant channels
• Works closely with account services and scientific services teams to solve immediate problems and capitalize on community opportunities
• Stays informed on industry trends and the social landscape, applying learnings to client business
• Maintains awareness of platform changes and surfaces implications and recommended actions to clients
• Supports social listening campaigns covering a variety of objectives (continuous and event-driven)
• Helps bridge the communication gap between technology and marketing, both internally and with clients
• Participates in discussions with Creative & Development teams to ensure UX & UI best practices are met for digital projects
• Partners with Creative teams to develop ideas and leverage technology to bring work to life
• Works with account team members to maintain the highest level of client service and satisfaction
• Ensures internal and client-facing digital initiatives are executed with best practices in mind, using data and clear reasoning to help guide decisions
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads Certification, Pharma Advertising & Compliance Training Certification)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 4–6 years of digital consulting, creative and/or strategy experience (Healthcare/Pharma required)
• Experience working on or with major pharma clients (e.g., J&J, Merck) with a strong understanding of the protocols and standards that come with it; agency experience required
• Strategic thinker with an ability to operationalize — you don’t need to have all the answers, but you need to know enough to move work forward and identify opportunities for optimization
• Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Proactive, collaborative, and ego-free; personable and relationship-driven with an ability to build strong working relationships across teams and with clients
• Expertise in building social media strategies and cultivating scientific exchange
• Working knowledge of SEO and tools such as Moz, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Working knowledge of email marketing and tests, as well as tools such as Email on Acid/Litmus
• Strong familiarity and understanding of emerging digital trends and technologies
• Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media, and the internet — including social media, SEO, CRM, and other digital marketing tactics
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver meaningful metrics and insights
• Digital agency experience required
