Position Summary

Industrial Color is seeking a creative, TikTok-native strategist to support a leading global beauty brand across its global and U.S. teams.

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes TikTok — someone who understands what makes content take off, how creators influence beauty culture, and how trends translate into product discovery and sales.

This role goes beyond traditional social media strategy. You'll help shape TikTok-first creative ideas, identify emerging trends and creator opportunities, and bring fresh thinking into everything from content and commerce to product innovation, packaging and formulas.

The ideal candidate is curious, entrepreneurial and hands-on, with experience in an indie, challenger or digitally native beauty environment. We're looking for someone who can spot what's next, turn insights into compelling ideas and influence how a major beauty brand connects with its audience.

Requirements

• TikTok-First Content & Creative Strategy
• Develop creative concepts specifically for TikTok, rather than adapting traditional advertising or social content.
• Understand what makes people stop scrolling, from compelling hooks and unexpected visuals to product transformations and authentic storytelling.
• Identify emerging trends, formats, cultural conversations and creative opportunities.
• Partner with creative and marketing teams to develop, test and evolve TikTok-native content ideas.
• Use platform insights and performance data to understand what resonates and identify opportunities to scale successful content.
• Creators, Affiliates & Social Commerce
• Stay closely connected to TikTok creators, beauty communities and emerging voices shaping consumer behavior.
• Identify opportunities for creator partnerships, affiliate activations and culturally relevant brand collaborations.
• Understand how TikTok Shop, creators and affiliates influence product discovery and purchasing decisions.
• Develop ideas that connect engaging content with measurable commercial opportunities.
• Bring fresh thinking to creator-led campaigns, product launches and social commerce initiatives.
• Beauty Trends & Product Innovation
• Translate TikTok trends and creator insights into opportunities for new products, packaging and formulas.
• Collaborate with innovation, product development and packaging teams to identify concepts with strong visual and demonstrative appeal.
• Consider how product textures, colors, application techniques, transformations and packaging can create compelling TikTok moments.
• Identify emerging consumer behaviors and unmet needs that could inspire future product development.
• Help connect what's happening on TikTok with what consumers will want next.
• Creative Collaboration & Execution
• Work closely with global and U.S. creative, marketing, innovation and commerce teams.
• Translate fast-moving platform trends into clear, actionable creative recommendations.
• Confidently communicate and present ideas to creative leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Balance strategic thinking with hands-on experimentation, creative development and execution.
• Help teams move quickly, test new approaches and respond authentically to emerging cultural moments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong professional experience developing TikTok-first content, creator strategies, social campaigns or social commerce initiatives.
• Deep understanding of TikTok culture, platform behaviors, emerging trends and the creator ecosystem.
• Experience in beauty, particularly color cosmetics or skincare, strongly preferred.
• Background working with indie, challenger, fast-growth or digitally native brands highly desirable.
• Familiarity with TikTok Shop, affiliate marketing and creator-led commerce.
• Ability to connect cultural insights and creative ideas with audience engagement, product discovery and business results.
• Strong creative instincts, curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
