Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving/conflict resolution, time management, and independent decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

• Primary Purpose of Position
• The Business Development Specialist I is responsible for the ownership of customer and account data accuracy and integrity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, while providing technical support to the sales and account management team. This position also serves as the point of contact and liaison with other functional groups for pre-deal related issues in the sales cycle.
• Primary Duties and Accountabilities
• Manage data entry and maintenance activities by creating opportunities, offers, and pricing scenarios that support transactions, maintaining accurate customer and account information in the CRM system, updating records for changes such as ownership transfers, establishing and maintaining account hierarchies, and handling nonstandard requests.
• Provide data and technical support to Business Development Managers and Account Managers by applying knowledge of regional utility requirements and supporting customer and sales related needs.
• Serve as a liaison between sales and cross functional teams by responding to requests for proposals, supporting data validation and contract execution activities, and coordinating with pricing and legal teams on nonstandard requests.
• Support process improvement efforts through ad hoc projects, data clean up activities, new hire training, development of process efficiencies, and system testing.
• Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
• In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements.
