Lewis Animal Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced

Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.

Our hospital features a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team.

We are proud to uphold quality standards; all grooming equipment and maintenance services (ex. sharpening) are provided by the hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Professional pet grooming experience working with emphasis on cat grooming
• Knowledge of dog and cat breed-specific grooming standards
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Grooming certification is a plus
• Portfolio and references required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
• Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
• Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
• Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and other benefits depending on role and location.

Pay Range

$11 — $11 USD

This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for bonus and incentive compensation, the terms of which will be provided at the time of offer.
