SOC Analyst

Want to be the person who spots the threat before it becomes a problem?

At Axxys, we protect small and medium-sized businesses across North Texas: the local companies that don’t have a security team of their own. That’s where you come in. As our SOC Analyst, you’ll be the eyes on our clients’ security, the go-to security voice for our technical team, and someone whose work makes a visible difference for real businesses.

Why you’ll like this role

Variety, not a cubicle. You won’t stare at the same dashboard eight hours a day. You’ll split your time between our office, working remotely, and getting out to client sites around North Texas, so you’ll see the environments you’re protecting firsthand.

Real ownership. You won’t be one analyst in a hundred-seat SOC. You’ll own how we monitor, tune, and respond across our client base. If you see a better way to do something, you’ll have room to make it happen, including automating the repetitive stuff so the whole team works smarter.

A growth plan with your name on it. No certs required to apply. We’ll build your certification path with you as part of your professional growth plan, with options like Security+, CySA+, CCNA CyberOps, CEH, AZ-500, and vendor certifications.

A team that fits. Our core values are Innovation, Empathy, Passion, Integrity, and being Engaged. We look for people who are Humble, Hungry, and Smart, and that’s who you’ll be working alongside.

What you’ll actually do

• Watch our security alerts daily, investigate what’s real, and escalate incidents to the right people fast
• Tune controls and thresholds so alerts mean something and client security keeps getting stronger
• Build and document how we use our security tools, then teach the rest of the team to use them well
• Hunt for processes to automate, from patching and deployments to scripting and reporting
• Visit client sites when hands-on work is needed
• Stay sharp on new threats through partner training, industry groups, and the security community

Requirements

• You might be a great fit if you have
• An associate’s degree, or 1–2 years of related experience or training (or a mix of both)
• A curious, problem-solving mindset: you like digging in until you find the real answer
• The ability to explain a security issue to a business owner without drowning them in jargon
