As an IT Engineer II within the Innovation department, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure. You will contribute to project execution by implementing and troubleshooting solutions under guidance and assist in various IT tasks, ensuring the stability and efficiency of systems, including the effective and responsible use of AI in IT work.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
System Design and Implementation:
Install and configure hardware, software, and networking components with increasing autonomy.
Contribute to the design of computer systems and office networks.
Deploy and manage virtual machines and other IT resources.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct regular system maintenance and performance monitoring.
Identify and resolve technical issues independently.
Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures.
Security Implementation:
Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems and data.
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Ensure compliance with security policies.
Onboarding and Off-boarding:
Independently manage onboarding and offboarding tasks.
Upgrades and Innovation:
Recommend and implement system upgrades to enhance functionality.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies.
Collaboration:
Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Assist in the integration of IT systems.
Training:
Provide training to end-users on new systems and technologies.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes and procedures.
Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
AI & Agentic SDLC:
Independently use AI assistants for scripting and automation; write clear prompts with context and know what to delegate to AI.
Systematically validate AI output for correctness and security, recognize hallucinations, and use AI-assisted diagnostics while confirming findings.
Apply responsible-AI practices, considering privacy, security, and cost.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU:

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or IT engineering role.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware (Mac, specifically), software, and networking concepts.
- Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Experience with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and procedures.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.

- Hands-on experience using AI assistants and AIOps tools in IT work.

- Understanding of prompt engineering fundamentals and AI output validation.

- Experience working with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
