As a Senior Developer for the Salesforce Platform Team, you will:
Demonstrated mastery of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles across languages such as Java and/or Salesforce Apex.
Experience using GitHub and contributing to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Harness).
Ability to deliver, operate, and support enterprise‑scale software solutions.
Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Salesforce platform development and integrations.
Java services development; Spring Boot a plus.
Python experience for automation or integration support.
Experience aligning with DevOps and “build it, run it” delivery models.
Work Arrangement: This role follows a hybrid schedule and requires in-office presence in Columbus, Ohio two days per week, Mondays and Tuesdays.
Location Requirement: Candidates must be based within a commutable distance to Columbus, Ohio.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high-quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document, and maintain applications.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze solutions, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software according to standards and best practices.
- Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Use DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques.
- Drive continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice, and innovation.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.
- Typical Skills and Experiences: Education : Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degrees are preferred. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
- Experience : Two or more years of software engineering, analysis, or related technology experience.
- Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
- Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
- Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
