Job Description:

Join the Environmental and Safety Engineering team as Engineer II-Health and Safety supporting occupational health and safety, risk assessment, audits, training, incident prevention, and management systems. This role is best suited for candidates with 2.5–5 years of relevant experience in occupational safety, engineering, EHS, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, sustainability, or a closely related area.

In this role, you will independently execute defined assignments, partner with relevant technical and business stakeholders, and help deliver reliable, compliant, high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and sustain environmental, health, safety, permitting, risk, compliance, and management-system programs.
• Translate regulatory, operational, facility, process, chemical, stakeholder, and business needs into requirements and controls.
• Analyze hazards (Job Hazard Analysis) health impacts, incidents, exposure, compliance, trends, risks, and technical tradeoffs.
• Health and safety, compliance, permit, incident, and corrective-action investigations within approved scope.
• Review permits, assessments, monitoring, audits, inspections, changes, controls, training, and readiness evidence.
• Drive prevention, compliance, pollution reduction, risk reduction, data quality, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate outcomes across EHS, facilities, manufacturing, engineering, legal, security, supply chain, and leadership teams.
• Maintain permits, assessments, monitoring, incidents, actions, reports, controls, and lifecycle documentation.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field with 2.5–5 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering, EHS, regulatory compliance, permitting, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, sustainability, or a closely related area.
• Qualified candidates should demonstrate analytical thinking, structured problem solving, technical ownership, clear communication, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, quality and safety focus, and sound judgment in environmental and safety engineering work.
• Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate: Employment stability, reliability, and sustained accountability in prior roles.
• Effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Integrity and accuracy in representing qualifications, experience, and credentials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, or safety engineering.
• Experience with risk assessment, audits, inspections, incident investigation, corrective action, management systems, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience with manufacturing environments, pollution prevention, emergency response, sustainability, data analysis, or agency interaction.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field
• Travel Time: 25% - 50%
• Physical Attributes: Bending at Waist, Carrying, Climbing, Crouching, Feeling, Handling, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Noise and/or vibration, Other, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Supervises Others, Works Alone, Works Around Others
• Physical Requirements: 50% Walking, 25% sitting, 25% standing

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $46,000-$128,000.* *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
