What you'll be doing...
As a Microsoft Dynamics Technical / Business Analyst, you will serve as a vital bridge between business leaders, frontline sales organizations, partner ecosystems, and IT/engineering implementation teams. You will lead engagements to capture, document, and translate complex business needs into clear, structured technical requirements for our enterprise Dynamics 365 Sales (Commercial & Government) implementation.
In addition to traditional BA responsibilities (requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT planning, and post go-live support), this role has a strong technical and innovative focus. Following system go-live, you will leverage low-code/no-code Microsoft Power Platform and AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and Dataverse) to rapidly build and prototype business solutions before handing them off to core IT for formal governance and deployment.
You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Business Requirements & Solution Design: Leading strategic requirements sessions with sales, sales ops, and channel partner stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed business requirements, user stories, mapping documents, and acceptance criteria.
- Conducting requirements interviews, gap analyses, and process mapping across core CRM functions (Lead Management, Opportunity Funnel, Account Hierarchy/DUNS, and Partner Relationship Management).
- Certifying Solution Designs and ensure platform customizations remain aligned with out-of-the-box (OOTB) best practices.
- Dynamics 365 Implementation Lifecycle: Leading end-to-end delivery activities from requirements through sprint builds, Data Validation Testing (DVT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployment, and post-go-live hypercare.
- Developing comprehensive UAT plans, write/review test scripts, coordinate UAT execution across business teams, and manage defect resolution with vendor/partner engineering teams (e.g., Microsoft FastTrack, Infosys).
- Facilitating pre- and post-go-live readiness, cutover support, and legacy platform sunsetting activities.
- Post Go-Live AI & Low-Code Solution Building: Utilizing Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and embedded AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, AI Builders) post go-live to prototype, build, and deploy light-touch business automation solutions.
- Validating and refine custom AI prompts, automated workflows, and seller productivity tools, establishing a structured handoff process to IT for long-term platform maintenance.
- Cross-Functional & Partner Ecosystem Alignment: Working closely with technical leads, enterprise architecture, and program managers to maintain operational alignment across cross-instance data models (e.g., Commercial vs. Government instances).
- Coordinating end-user support, troubleshoot operational issues, and provide guidance across junior analysts and operations teams.
- What we're looking for...
- You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Solution Provider in enterprise CRM environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (Dataverse, model-driven apps, security roles, forms/views, and custom entity design).
- Experience in writing technical/business requirements, mapping specifications, user stories, and managing backlog refinement.
- Experience leading complex, end-to-end CRM implementations across multi-sprint software development lifecycles (SDLC/Agile).
- Willingness to travel (25% or less).
- Even better if you have one or more of the following
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant Certifications (e.g., MB-210, PL-200, or PL-900).
- Experience with UAT planning, test script creation, defect triage, and cutover/post go-live support.
- Direct experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Microsoft Copilot / AI features embedded in D365 Sales.
- Expertise in prototyping low-code/no-code solutions and transferring operational builds to IT engineering teams.
- Experience with complex data migrations, data validation testing (DVT), and third-party/legacy integration patterns (DMF, OData, REST APIs).
- Background in telecom, enterprise B2B sales operations, or partner relationship management (PRM) workflows.
- Self-directed with the ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and manage tight release deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
- Where you’ll be working
- In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
