Licensed Veterinary Technician - Rockford Road Animal Hospital

Licensed Veterinary Technician | Rockford Road Animal Hospital

Great energy. Great care.

Rockford Road Animal Hospital is a progressive, seven-doctor general practice looking for a Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are proudly AAHA accredited and work hard to implement fear free practices for our patients whenever we can.

Our team

What sets us apart is the people. We’ve worked hard to eliminate the drama that can plague veterinary teams, so we can put our energy where it belongs: working efficiently and hard together, and going above and beyond for our patients and their families. Our support staff are highly valued and celebrated for their critical contributions. We love to have fun and find joy in this wonderfully wild profession together.

The role

You’ll provide hands-on technical care in a collaborative general practice. You’ll also work in our surgery department alongside our doctors multiple days a week.

In addition to dogs and cats, we see exotic animals, including but not limited to rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and ferrets. No exotic experience is required; we’re happy to train!

What you bring

• Proficiency in animal handling, blood draws, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
• Interest in surgery and a willingness to work in the surgery department regularly
• Solid general knowledge of veterinary care
• Confidence and comfort in client education and communication
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and help those around you do the same
• Flexibility to work one half-day Saturday shift per month
• Why you’ll love it here
• Great benefits and competitive wages
• No Sundays, no holidays, no overnight shifts
• A drama-free, supportive environment where learning is encouraged at every level
• Our values
• Respect, Learning, Fun, and Wow Service, which all fall under our ultimate value of Do the Right Thing. They shape how we practice medicine and how we care for our patients, their families, and one another. Our goal is that everyone who walks through our doors, on two legs or four, has the best experience possible.
