Employer job description
From SAP Fioneer's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
About SAP Fioneer
SAP Fioneer is a fast-growing global company that delivers next-generation software solutions for the financial services industry. As a spin-off from SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software, SAP Fioneer combines cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of corporate and consumer demands.
Our mission is to bring financial services to the next level through innovative software solutions and platforms, helping companies in the financial services industry achieve speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency through digital business innovation and cloud technology.
We are a global company with subsidiaries in multiple countries and a great team of professionals who are passionate about driving change in the financial industry. If you are looking for an opportunity to accelerate your career and be part of a dynamic and innovative company, SAP Fioneer is the perfect place for you to grow and make an impact!
About the Role
We are with a leading U.S. healthcare and health insurance organization to build a state-of-the-art finance platform.
We are looking for an experienced finance and transformation professional who can work directly with CFOs, senior finance leaders, actuaries and technology teams to help define what the finance organization and platform of the future should look like.
This is not a traditional systems implementation or requirements-gathering role. We are looking for someone who can challenge today's processes, understand strategic priorities and translate them into a target operating model, finance architecture and transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview and facilitate workshops with CFOs and senior leaders across Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, Treasury, FP&A, Regulatory Reporting and Technology.
- Help define the Finance Platform North Star and target operating model.
- Assess current finance processes, data, controls and systems and identify opportunities for transformation and simplification.
- Connect Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Data and Technology into an integrated future-state design.
- Translate business challenges into capabilities and work with product and technology teams to define the future architecture.
- Identify opportunities for automation, advanced analytics and AI across Finance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives throughout the transformation.
Requirements
- We are looking for someone with significant experience at the intersection of Finance, Insurance and Transformation.
- You may come from a finance leadership, controllership, finance transformation, business architecture, senior finance specialist or advisory background. We care more about the breadth and depth of your experience than a specific job title.
- You should bring strong finance and accounting expertise, experience with complex finance transformations, and the ability to work credibly with CFO-level stakeholders.
- Experience connecting Finance with Actuarial, Risk, Operations and Technology is highly valuable.
- U.S. health insurance/payer finance experience is a strong advantage, but not required. Experience with insurance finance, financial subledgers, SAP FPSL or comparable platforms is also valuable.
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who doesn't simply document how Finance works today, but wants to help define how Finance should work tomorrow.
Benefits
- You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry on an incredibly ambitious project to shape the ever-evolving financial sector. This is an environment where you can have it all — the agility, enthusiasm, and dynamism of a start-up, combined with the established expertise, solid market presence, and extensive customer network of a more established organization.
- At SAP Fioneer, you will benefit from a flexible work environment that encourages creativity and empowers you to think outside the box, bring new ideas to the table, and challenge the status quo. You will become part of a diverse and global team that we are proud of and are constantly growing and reinventing. As an employee, you can chart your career path and take advantage of competitive compensation packages and progression opportunities based on merit.
