Job Summary

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group has an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join a busy Neurology practice with an emphasis on vascular neurology inpatient and outpatient care located on Sarasota Memorial Hospital Campus.

Position Highlights:

Join a team of three vascular neurologists as part of a larger Neurology group.

6 outpatient clinic days a month and 10 hospital shifts a month to include 1 weekend and an extra Sunday.

Independent outpatient clinic and collaborative rounding on both vascular and general neurology patients on the service.

Responsible for stroke alerts when on hospital service in conjunction with general neurology APPs and assigned vascular neurologist.

Inpatient coverage at one hospital with telestroke coverage for remote locations.

Requirements:

• Current NCCPA or ACNP Certification.
• Active or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Neurology experience preferred.

• Required Qualifications

• Require approved APRN board certification**. **Must be certified as a APRN by a recognized national certifying body having established standards for APRN’s. The following organizations are recognized national certifying bodies for the Nurse Practitioner: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; American Nurses Credentialing Center; National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties; National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners & Nurses; Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation; Critical Care Certification Corporation; National Commission on Certification; and American Association of Heart Failure Nurses; and the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
