The Opportunity

As a dedicated Bank Business Process Consultant Senior you will a pply advanced knowledge of bank processes and products and acts as a trusted advisor by providing consultation services to internal clients in areas of strategic sourcing, alternatives and solutions, supplier management, affiliate agreement adherence, third party risk management, and bank operations. Collect and consolidate demand and identifies opportunities, within the Bank.

Execute and oversee the development of business process related solutions for internal clients and members. Evaluate processes/ resources and develops effective solutions/ improvements/ enhancements to drive the efficient operation of the Bank utilizing Agile best practices.

What you'll do:

• Engage with key stakeholders to implement sustainable strategic solutions.
• Develop business process enhancements for the Bank that aligns business deliverables, bank strategy and risk management framework.
• Lead planning and execution efforts and coordinates activities for highly complex projects.
• Apply a holistic understanding of risk and regulatory compliance to manage risks by using established methodologies, including Agile principles, and exercising control plans to ensure alignment with bank specific goals and process requirements.
• Provide consultation to influence and ensure process is designed to address risk across all activities.
• Review and develop communication and change management plans for customers and internal stakeholders to drive awareness on current processes and/or changes.
• Ensure alignment between internal stakeholders and customers across all business process projects and services using proactive communication and engagement strategies.
• Utilize data and analytics to deliver insight into customer and business process performance, identifying opportunities to influence customer and business process activities and inform key stakeholders.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.

Experience leveraging data-driven reporting and automation to identify and implement strategic process enhancements, driving operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial services, project/program management, risk, compliance, audit, or operations.

Integrative critical thinking skills, basic risk management knowledge, good organizational, communication and influencing skills.

Demonstrated experience performing analytic and through assessments to form defensible conclusions.

Possess a commanding presence and the ability to effectively communicate, influence, and build rapport with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels of organization.

Proven ability to cultivate a cohesive team environment through strong interpersonal skills, manage conflict calmly under pressure, and thrive in a demanding, high-volume environment.

Demonstrated flexibility and prioritization skills to adapt to evolving internal and external demands effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence principles and applications to enhance efficiency and data analysis.

What sets you apart:

Experience in both a risk related and operational role in financial services.

Sound knowledge of consumer protection regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation B, Regulation E, FCRA, SCRA, UDAAP, and other applicable banking laws and regulations.

Project management experience or experience supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience writing executive level summaries and risk assessments.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450 - $197,730 .

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
