Job Description

Position: Bagger Operator

Monitor and operate production equipment, including the bagger, scale, conveyors, tape machine, printers, and metal detector .

Perform equipment setup, teardown, startup, and shutdown procedures.

Monitor bag seal quality and make adjustments to ensure product quality standards are met.

Monitor film feed systems, maintain film reserves, and replace film rolls as needed.

Maintain coder/printer equipment to ensure accurate date coding and product identification.

Verify bag weights and piece counts throughout production.

Utilize Plant View to perform hourly piece count and bag seal checks, as well as daily incline conveyor inspections.

Ensure machine guarding is in place and equipment is safe to operate.

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by following Good Housekeeping practices.

Ensure equipment and work areas meet production, safety, and quality standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate, monitor, and make basic adjustments to production equipment.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate bag weights, piece counts, seal integrity, and date coding.
• Ability to use Plant View for required production and quality checks.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Rehire Criteria
• All applicants must provide their government identification number to verify any previous Tyson employment history.
• Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
• Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
