• Pay Rate: $18.90/hour

Job Summary

The Reworker is responsible for inspecting product quality and identifying defects during the production process. This position works after the freezer and monitors product as it moves along the conveyor line. The Reworker removes defective products, foreign materials, and improperly formed pieces while ensuring Tyson's quality, food safety, and production standards are maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Visually inspect products as they move along the conveyor line for quality defects.

Remove improperly formed pieces, damaged product, partial pieces, and other non-conforming products.

Identify and remove bones, foreign materials, or contaminants and immediately notify the Supervisor or Group Leader of any findings.

Remove overlapping product to ensure proper presentation and packaging.

Inspect bags for proper seals, leveling, and overall package integrity.

Rework eligible products, including open bags, improperly sealed bags, soft product, and other recoverable materials by returning them to the appropriate stage of production.

Maintain product quality standards and comply with all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation requirements.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds as needed.

Ability to work in a production environment maintained at approximately 55°F .

Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, arms, and shoulders.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify product quality defects and apply established quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Rehire Criteria
