What you’ll do:

• NinjaTrader Live is our live trading network, and our Social Media team is how it reaches traders far beyond the stream. As Social Media Manager, NT Live, you’ll own and grow NinjaTrader Live’s social presence, turning the livestream’s personalities, segments, and community into content that stops the scroll and brings viewers back day after day. This is a senior individual contributor role: you’ll own strategy and deliver measurable results, working day-to-day with the Social Media team and reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Marketing.
• In this role you will: Own the strategy for NinjaTrader Live business accounts across X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook, setting channel goals and content pillars, deciding where each type of content performs best, and staying on top of platform algorithm changes, trending formats, and emerging channels
• Ideate, create, and publish content with compelling copy that brings the livestream’s tone and personality to every post, blending trader education, real-time market takes, and trader-native humor and memes where they land, using AI tools daily across copy, ideation, and analysis
• Develop and maintain a strong, social-first, company-approved NinjaTrader Live brand voice and visual identity, adapting content natively for each platform and designing your own social assets in collaboration with the internal Design Team
• Manage the content roadmap and calendar, balancing always-on evergreen content with time-sensitive market commentary and fast turnaround on in-show moments and breaking news
• Lead VOD clip production by extracting timestamps and working with the team and our marketing Video Producer to cut live shows into platform-ready clips with captions, subtitles, and on-screen text
• Drive viewership to the livestream and convert audience into registrants for NinjaTrader Live initiatives such as live events, trading competitions, and newsletters, leveraging the reach of on-air guests and contributors and managing relationships with influencers, creators, and agency partners
• Oversee copywriting, caption development, and asset coordination for campaigns and product launches, and design, document, and follow compliance workflows and approval processes so all published content meets regulatory and brand standards
• Own community management across NinjaTrader Live’s social channels by setting community guidelines, response standards, and escalation paths, directing day-to-day responses to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags, cultivating an engaged and loyal trading community, and monitoring brand mentions and sentiment to flag emerging issues
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with content, product, and growth teams, driving alignment without formal authority, and represent the social media function for NinjaTrader Live in cross-functional forums while advising other business units and building relationships with Manager- and Director-level stakeholders
• Deliver weekly social metrics reporting that ties audience growth, click-through, and engagement to real outcomes, turning insights into data-driven recommendations and business cases that shape content strategy and influence resourcing and budget decisions

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) and 6+ years of related experience (or 4+ years with a master’s degree) in social media, content creation, or digital marketing (agency or in-house)

Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a major social or content program, including setting strategy, managing the roadmap, and delivering measurable results, with a proven track record growing social for a financial brand, media company, or creator

Deep knowledge of the futures, prop trading, or crypto space, including its audiences, communities, and culture, and strong alignment with NinjaTrader Live’s voice: credible, trader-focused, and authentic

Proven experience building and leading community management programs, including owning a brand’s community strategy and representing a voice publicly

Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, live content environment, with a deep understanding of short-form video, X, and live-driven content ecosystems

Strong graphic design skills, with experience turning a brief into scroll-stopping visuals both independently and in collaboration with other designers, and comfort with video editing software (Adobe Premiere or similar)

Experience with Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and project management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, or Monday.com), plus experience using AI tools in your marketing workflow (Claude and ChatGPT preferred) for ideation, copywriting, research, or asset creation

Experience adapting long-form content into short-form, social-first formats by finding the hook and cutting to what matters, and fluency in meme culture and internet humor that you use strategically without forcing it

Strong writing skills with sharp hooks and concise, engaging captions, a knack for adapting tone across platforms and audiences, the ability to communicate recommendations clearly in writing and in meetings, and the ability to follow compliance workflows and approval processes

Highly organized, with experience managing vendors, agencies, or contractors alongside multiple content streams and cross-functional workstreams, and a proven ability to align stakeholders (content, product, growth) without formal authority, including at the Manager and Director level

Bonus Points for:

• Comfort on camera for short-form video content (TikTok, Reels), a strong differentiator
• Basic familiarity with paid social, including knowing how organic and paid work together
• Familiarity with Social SEO, including optimizing captions, hashtags, and scripts to improve discoverability on TikTok, YouTube, and beyond

Hybrid:

For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days, we offer:
